What if staying safe during a pandemic was as easy as using a simple app? This conceptual project envisions an NHS-inspired COVID application, designed to provide clear guidance, symptom checks, test bookings, and vaccination records—all in one trusted platform. While not affiliated with the NHS or released publicly, the project explores how thoughtful design could help during uncertain times.
NHS COVID App
Concept UX/UI Project

Intro
My Role
As the UX/UI designer, I developed this concept from the ground up, focusing on creating a user-friendly, accessible app. From research and persona development to wireframing, prototyping, and UI design, I aimed to make the experience feel professional, trustworthy, and easy to navigate.
Process
Understanding User Needs: Researched health apps, user pain points, and best practices to define key features like symptom checks and test bookings.
Personas & Pathways: Created user personas and journeys to prioritize essential tasks and ensure a seamless experience.
Design & Prototype: Built wireframes and prototypes in Figma, focusing on clean layouts, logical flows, and intuitive icons for accessibility.
Refinement: Tested and iterated on color schemes, typography, and icons to balance professionalism with an approachable design.
Real-World Context: Designed with empathy, imagining how users might interact with the app during stressful times to reduce anxiety and confusion.
Why It Mattered
This concept demonstrates the potential of well-designed digital tools to improve public health experiences. By focusing on usability, clarity, and empathy, I explored how design could help people navigate critical moments with ease and confidence.
