Empowering a skincare community through thoughtful design? That’s what I achieved for Tu Piel y Tú, L’Oréal’s comprehensive platform dedicated to helping users understand and care for their skin. By merging a refined brand aesthetic with a seamless digital experience, I supported L’Oréal’s mission to engage users in a personalized, educational, and approachable way.
Tu Piel y Tú
UI Branding & UX/UI Design

Intro
My Role
As both UI Brand Designer and UX/UI Designer, I carried the responsibility of harmonizing Tu Piel y Tú’s visual identity with an intuitive user journey. I developed a cohesive design system that complements L’Oréal’s established brand guidelines, ensuring every interface element—from color palettes and typography to layout and iconography—reinforced trust and credibility for users exploring skincare advice and product recommendations.
Process
I began with a thorough exploration of L’Oréal’s brand guidelines, collaborating closely with stakeholders to understand how Tu Piel y Tú needed to differentiate itself while remaining consistent with the parent brand. Building on that foundation, I designed wireframes and high-fidelity prototypes to outline user flows that simplify finding articles, product details, and interactive tools. This iterative process allowed me to refine the site’s structure and visual details, aligning each feature with the core objective of guiding users toward healthier skin routines. Testing and feedback sessions drove continuous improvements, making sure the interface felt both welcoming and straightforward.
Working alongside the marketing and editorial teams, I updated the platform’s content strategy to highlight educational resources in a clear, visually appealing way. Regular check-ins ensured every component—from imagery and language tone to interactive quizzes—resonated with Tu Piel y Tú’s audience. After launch, we monitored user engagement and gathered additional insights, allowing for further adjustments to enhance the experience and consistently meet evolving user needs.
Why It Mattered
Tu Piel y Tú now stands as a user-friendly portal that simplifies skincare education, aligns with L’Oréal’s overarching brand standards, and fosters lasting relationships with consumers seeking personalized advice. By weaving a clear, inviting aesthetic into a well-planned user journey, the platform positions L’Oréal as a trusted ally in skincare, demonstrating how effective UI branding and UX/UI design can elevate a brand’s digital presence while delivering tangible value to its audience.
